The Southern Tree Breeding Association (STBA) manages the Australian cooperative tree improvement programs. The STBA has a focus on increasing the profits of its Members by identifying elite genetic material for commercial deployment, increasing the rate of genetic gain achieved on an annual basis, providing a bridge between research and commercial implementation, developing the tools necessary to efficiently and routinely provide information for commercial decisions. PlantPlan Genetics Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the STBA, provides genetic evaluation and advisory services in tree and plant improvement.
